UGA Health Sciences Campus

Brookwood Tree Consulting provided a GIS-based inventory of all trees on a 56-acre campus UGA acquired to house its new Health Sciences programs.  The 120 year old campus had previously served as a Navy Supply Corps School, Georgia State Normal School, and Coordinate College women’s dormitories.  The rich history of educational use led to an extensive and mature canopy of hardwoods through much of the campus.  Brookwood Tree’s inventory allowed for a more comprehensive understanding of these trees to facilitate decision making in the continued adaptation and development of the campus in its new state.
